Changelog

Every Scoutr.gg update: what's new, what got better, and what we fixed. One entry per version, no filler.

v0.39.0

minor

Test your mic and hear the coach before you queue

Settings can now check your audio before a game, so a microphone or speaker problem shows up in the menu instead of mid-match.

  • NewTest microphone: speak for three seconds while a level bar shows what we pick up, then hear your recording played back. It tells you which microphone it used, or what went wrong.
  • ImprovedThe voice test now plays a sample coaching tip, so you hear exactly how the coach sounds in game at your chosen volume.

v0.38.4

patch

Better crash reports for push-to-talk

  • ImprovedPush-to-talk now notes which microphone it is about to use in your logs, so bug reports tell us exactly which audio device was involved.

v0.38.3

patch

A tidier post-game screen

  • ImprovedThe post-game screen no longer repeats the gold graph above your highlights. The timeline panel below it already shows the full picture.

v0.38.2

patch

Timeline fix

  • FixedThe event timeline could vanish when a game started while the companion was already open. It now stays put.

v0.38.1

patch

Spring cleaning under the hood

  • ImprovedA large internal cleanup across the companion. Nothing changes in how it watches, warns or coaches; it is simply leaner.

v0.38.0

minor

The Free tier, spelled out

Free now means minimap vision, gank warnings, builds and scouting in every game, plus 3 AI-coached games a month. Jungler prediction and spoken callouts are Basic and up.

  • NewA post-game recap in the companion: your gold curve with your deaths marked, the result, and a link to the full review. When the AI coach sat a game out, it says what a coached game would have added.
  • ImprovedOut-of-credits copy now says what stays on and when your 3 coached games renew, with a link to the Discord. The settings page shows which features need Basic and up instead of guessing from your plan name.
  • ImprovedThe enemy jungler heatmap and spoken jungler callouts are Basic and up. On Free the toggles stay visible and locked, with the reason next to them.
  • FixedGames played after the free credits run out now show up in your game history on the website, like every other game.

v0.37.3

patch

Google sign-in is the one way in

  • ImprovedThe companion no longer looks for old access-token files on disk. Signing in with Google is the only way in, the same one every account already uses.

v0.37.2

patch

Alpha testers see their 30 games as a total

  • ImprovedThe alpha program is 30 coached games in total, not 30 a month. The credits chip now reads that way for alpha testers, and once the 30 are used the companion switches to the Free plan on its own, no restart needed.

v0.37.1

patch

The credits banner tells subscribers the truth

  • FixedOn a paid plan, using up this month's coached games no longer shows an Upgrade prompt. The banner now says the games are used, shows when they reset, and links to your plan.

v0.37.0

minor

Sign in first, then everything runs

The companion now waits at the sign-in screen until you are signed in. Nothing tracks, listens or talks before that.

  • ImprovedUntil you sign in with Google, the companion stays on the sign-in screen and the overlay stays empty. No minimap tracking, no champ select watching, no coach. Sign in once and it all starts right away, no restart needed.
  • ImprovedSigning out is blocked while a game is running so the game is saved properly. You will see 'Finish the game first'.
  • FixedA signed-out companion no longer looks broken mid-game. Before, it showed an empty game plan and quietly failed every coach request.
  • FixedThe dashboard live view now works in your first session after signing in, not only after a relaunch.

v0.36.1

patch

The coach says when it is off, and vision stops giving up

  • FixedMinimap tracking no longer switches off for the whole session after a Practice Tool or empty game. It waits and starts on your next game.
  • FixedLeague installed on another drive or in a custom folder is found on its own now, so champ select, your region and the minimap setup all work without pointing the app at it. If the app could not find your client before, quickplay and custom games used to get coached; they now get the notice below instead.
  • NewThe coach tells you when it is off. In modes it does not cover (Swiftplay, Practice Tool, ARAM, quickplay, customs) the app shows a notice, says it once out loud, and the home screen lists the coached modes.

v0.36.0

minor

Problems get found before you report them

When diagnostics are on, the app now sends us its own log after each game, together with the settings it ran with. If a feature quietly did nothing during your game, we can see why without asking you for a support bundle.

  • NewPer-game diagnostics: the app's log for each game, plus a snapshot of your settings and what the app believed about your plan, is uploaded after the game and kept privately for about three months. The diagnostics checkbox in Settings turns it off; the privacy page explains exactly what is included.
  • ImprovedHighlights say why they are off. When recording is disabled in Settings or your plan cannot be confirmed yet, the app now records the reason instead of silently skipping the game.
  • ImprovedSupport bundles now include your settings and the highlights state, so a report tells the whole story on the first read.

v0.35.0

minor

Minimap tracking sets itself up

No more positioning the minimap box by hand: the app now works out where your minimap is from your game settings and places it for you at the start of every game.

  • NewFresh installs and reinstalls get enemy tracking, gank alerts and jungler callouts from the first game, with no setup. The box follows your minimap scale, resolution and window mode, and moves with the minimap when you put it on the left.
  • ImprovedA box you placed yourself stays exactly where you put it. If it no longer matches your game settings, the app tells you; Reset to default in the overlay's edit mode hands placement back to the app.
  • FixedThe automatic box was about a quarter too small on every setup. Tracking accuracy improves for everyone who never adjusted it.

v0.34.3

patch

Turning off highlights actually turns them off

  • FixedThe record-highlights switch in Settings could get stuck on when the app hadn't managed to check your plan yet. Turning recording off never needs a plan, so the switch now always lets you.
  • FixedThat same state used to tell you highlights were a Basic & Pro feature even if you already had them. Settings now says it can't check your plan right now, and that nothing is recorded until it can.

v0.34.2

patch

Jungler callouts tell you when they need your voice on

  • FixedJungler callouts speak through voice coaching, so with voice coaching off they were silent while the switch looked on. Settings now greys out the callout controls and says why.
  • FixedA settings change that failed to save no longer undoes another setting you had just changed successfully.

v0.34.1

patch

Your first game gets highlights too

  • FixedHighlights are now set up while you wait in the lobby instead of during your first game, so that first game records clips like every other one. Until now a brand-new install quietly missed its own first game.
  • ImprovedIf setting up highlights fails, it now retries on its own between games, and turning the highlights switch off and back on forces a fresh attempt straight away.

v0.34.0

minor

Pick your coaching, hear your jungler

The AI coach is now three switches instead of one. Keep the pregame plan but skip in-game chatter, keep only the on-demand answers, or turn all of it off and run Scoutr.gg purely for its jungler tracking, gank alerts and highlights. And the tracker can now say out loud where the enemy jungler shows up.

  • NewSettings has an AI coaching section with separate switches for the game plan, proactive coaching and asking the coach. Each one only changes whether that coaching happens; everything else keeps working.
  • NewJungler callouts: turn them on and the voice announces where the enemy jungler appears on the minimap, anywhere on the map. A slider sets how long he has to be unseen before his next appearance counts.
  • ImprovedThe overlay's jungler sighting line now re-fires after 15 seconds unseen instead of 20, so a quick dip into fog counts as a new sighting.
  • ImprovedPanels that depend on a switched-off feature now say so instead of waiting forever, and the push-to-talk card hides while asking is off.

v0.33.0

minor

No more access codes

Getting into Scoutr.gg is now just your Google account. There is nothing to paste: sign in, ask for access on Discord (or pick a plan), and the app unlocks on its own the moment it's switched on.

  • NewThe welcome screen no longer asks for an access code. After you sign in it shows a waiting card with the account you used, a Discord link to request access, a plans link, and a Check now button. It unlocks by itself once access is enabled.
  • ImprovedSigned in with the wrong Google account? Switch straight from the waiting card instead of digging through settings.
  • ImprovedThe in-game banner for an account that isn't enabled yet now says what to do (ask on Discord or pick a plan) instead of telling you to re-enter a code that no longer exists.

v0.32.2

patch

The right plan stays on screen

  • FixedA champ-select plan that finished generating after your game had already started could replace the plan the coach built for the matchup you were actually in. The game's own plan now stays put.
  • FixedYour game review page no longer shows a champ-select plan for a different lane opponent, or a different champion, when the coach's opening call failed. If the right plan isn't available, the page leaves it out instead of guessing.

v0.32.1

patch

Correcting what we told you about degraded games

  • FixedWhen the coach couldn't produce an opening plan, we told you the game hadn't counted against your monthly allowance. It had. The wording is now accurate: your builds and in-game directives are unaffected, and the game counts as normal.

v0.32.0

minor

The coach stops pretending

Two silent failures fixed: games that looked coached but weren't, and scouting that only ever worked for one region.

  • FixedSome games showed no matchup or team-comp advice at all, with no explanation. The coach's opening analysis had timed out, but everything downstream still treated the game as coached, so you got empty panels and the game counted against your monthly allowance. It now says plainly when the analysis didn't come through, and those games are no longer counted.
  • ImprovedThe opening analysis gets more time to finish before it gives up, so it succeeds on games where it used to time out.
  • FixedPlayer scouting now works outside Europe West. The app never worked out which region you play on and looked everyone up on EUW, so if you play anywhere else the rank badges, the matchup face-off and the team comparison were always empty. It now picks your region up from the League client.

v0.31.3

patch

Highlight clips work again

  • FixedHighlights had stopped working entirely for most players. The video tool the app downloads on first use had moved, so the download failed quietly and no clips were ever recorded. It now downloads correctly. Your next launch fetches it once, then clips record as normal.

v0.31.2

patch

Highlights no longer switch off after a false alarm

  • FixedThe monitor check that guards your highlight clips could reject the right screen on a single unlucky frame (opening the shop at spawn was enough) and record nothing for the whole game. It now double-checks before deciding, and falls back to your game monitor when every other screen is black.

v0.31.1

patch

Jungler heatmap reads cleaner

  • ImprovedWhen the enemy jungler is likely back at base, the heatmap now shows one spot at their fountain instead of scattering heat over their inhibitors.
  • ImprovedInvades now show up: the heatmap can build heat over YOUR jungle camps when the enemy jungler is plausibly there, strongest in the early game.

v0.31.0

minor

Where is their jungler? The minimap now shows you

A new opt-in overlay paints a live probability heatmap of the enemy jungler's likely position over your minimap, built from sightings, where they have NOT been seen, objective timers and respawns.

  • NewEnemy jungler heatmap: hot blobs mark where the enemy jungler probably is right now, fading as the picture gets less certain. Seen on a gank path? It follows. Missing for 40 seconds with Baron up? It leans toward Baron. Dead? A respawn countdown chip replaces the heat.
  • NewOff by default. Flip it on in Settings under "Enemy jungler heatmap". Everything is computed on your PC.

v0.30.3

patch

Highlights record the right screen

  • FixedOn some multi-monitor setups, highlight clips could record the wrong screen instead of the game. Capture now locks onto the monitor League is actually on, and double-checks what it recorded before keeping a clip.

v0.30.2

patch

Highlight clips are back

  • FixedVersions 0.30.0 and 0.30.1 failed to save highlight clips at the final encoding step, so games ended with no highlights at all. Clips now save correctly again. Please update right away.

v0.30.1

patch

Multikill clips catch the opening kill

  • FixedMultikill highlight clips now reach back to the first kill of the sequence: a triple whose opening kill came seconds earlier no longer gets cut down to the standard 10-second window.

v0.30.0

minor

Your highlights, right when the game ends

The end-of-game screen now plays back the highlight clips you just earned, with a one-click link to the full game breakdown on the web.

  • NewWhen a game ends, the companion shows your highlight clips right there on the post-game screen so you can rewatch them without leaving the app.
  • NewAn Open full game review link jumps straight to that game's page on your dashboard for the complete breakdown.

v0.29.0

minor

Your whole penta, in the clip

Highlight clips now stretch to fit the full kill sequence instead of cutting off the opening kills.

  • ImprovedMultikill highlights now capture the entire sequence: the clip grows up to 20 seconds to include every kill from the first to the last, instead of only the final 10 seconds.
  • ImprovedSolo-kill clips are unchanged (10 seconds), so your library stays quick to skim.

v0.28.0

minor

Discord shows your champ select too

  • NewYour Discord profile now shows you're in champ select with Scoutr.gg, not just in game. Same switch in Settings turns both off.

v0.27.0

minor

You're now playing with Scoutr.gg, on Discord

  • NewWhile you're in game, your Discord profile shows you're playing with Scoutr.gg: your champion, role and game time, plus a link for the curious. It talks only to the Discord app on your PC, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings.

v0.26.9

patch

Windows Defender false alarm, fixed again

  • FixedA Windows Defender update on 16 Aug started wrongly flagging the companion as a threat and quarantining it. This build is no longer flagged. If your app stopped working, reinstall from the download button and you're back in the game.

v0.26.8

patch

Every game makes it to your history

  • FixedPlaying games back to back could occasionally leave the second game missing from your dashboard history, along with its highlight clips. Each game's record now survives even when the previous game's coaching call is still finishing up.
  • FixedThe "Refreshing matchup" banner from a previous game can no longer linger into the next one.

v0.26.7

patch

Steadier under pressure

  • ImprovedThe voice callouts and overlay alerts now handle bursts more gracefully: outdated callouts are skipped instead of piling up, so what you hear always matches what's happening.
  • FixedA stuck overlay window can no longer slow the app down over a long session. It reconnects cleanly on its own.

v0.26.6

patch

Coaching that can't drop the ball

  • FixedIn rare cases the game-start briefing or next-game champ-select tracking could silently fail to start. Both are now guaranteed to run every game.
  • FixedA voice question interrupted mid-answer now always refunds the ask, even if the coach service restarts at that exact moment.

v0.26.5

patch

The app remembers you're signed in

  • FixedOpening the app while signed in briefly showed the sign-in screen before it found your session. It now goes straight to your hub.
  • ImprovedIf the coach service can't be reached at startup, the app now says so and quietly keeps retrying, instead of showing a spinner (or asking you to sign in again, which wouldn't have helped).

v0.26.4

patch

A proper hello instead of a white window

  • ImprovedOpening the app used to show a blank white window for a few seconds while it started up. You now get a Scoutr.gg loading screen, and the app appears the moment it's actually ready (slightly sooner than before, too).
  • ImprovedIf startup takes unusually long (the very first run downloads the coach's voice, which can take a minute), the loading screen now tells you instead of leaving you guessing.

v0.26.3

patch

Making peace with Windows Defender

  • FixedWindows Defender sometimes mistook the companion's background process for malware and quarantined it during installation. The app now identifies itself properly to Windows (publisher name, version info, icon) and is built in a way Defender is far less likely to misread. If a previous install got quarantined: Windows Security → Protection history → Restore, then re-run the installer. Code signing is also on the way.

v0.26.2

patch

You can arrange your overlay again

  • FixedOverlay edit mode (Ctrl+Shift+H) looked like it turned on, but nothing responded: panels couldn't be moved or resized, and the minimap box couldn't be adjusted, because clicks went straight through to the game. Arranging your overlay works again.

v0.26.1

patch

Map tracking survives a second game

  • FixedFrom the second game of a session onward, map tracking was still looking for the previous game's champions, so gank warnings, enemy jungler sightings and the map's missing-enemy markers all went quiet until you restarted the app. It now picks up the new game's enemies on its own.
  • FixedIf you switch roles between games, the coach now tracks your actual lane opponent instead of the one from your previous lane.

v0.26.0

minor

A big under-the-hood cleanup

A deep pass over the companion's internals: dozens of small architecture fixes that make it faster, steadier, and easier for us to improve. A few of them you can see.

  • FixedThe jungler tracker's last-seen location now stays pinned while the enemy jungler is missing, the way it always should have: "last seen: Red Raptors" instead of a blank.
  • FixedThe companion no longer reports its vision tracker as degraded while you sit in the lobby between games.
  • ImprovedChamp select is noticeably lighter: the companion no longer redraws every panel twice a second while you hover picks.
  • ImprovedSettings and the builds panel are now fully translated in Spanish, including the highlights recording notice.
  • FixedA rare hiccup where hovering champions during pick could stop the pick suggestions from filtering out unavailable champions for the rest of the draft.
  • ImprovedHighlight capture is steadier when a recording probe and a new game overlap.

v0.25.1

patch

Highlights that show the right moment

  • FixedIf you started Scoutr.gg after your game was already underway, your highlight clips could show the wrong moment under the right label. Clips are now only cut for plays the recorder actually captured.
  • ImprovedThe gold chart on a game review now says so when it only covers part of the game, instead of looking empty.
  • FixedTidied up the game review page: the match clock is no longer obscured by the crest behind it, the gold chart's labels line up, and the panels sit on an even grid.

v0.25.0

minor

Your overlay, your panels

Pick exactly which panels the in-game overlay shows. Hide the ones you never look at and keep your screen clean.

  • NewSettings now has an Overlay panels section: toggle any of the eight overlay panels on or off, and a running overlay updates within seconds. No restart needed.
  • NewHiding a panel only changes what you see. Voice answers are still spoken, gank alerts still ring the minimap, and jungle tracking keeps running in the background.

v0.24.3

patch

The companion stops watching your screen between games

  • ImprovedMinimap tracking now pauses as soon as a game ends and picks back up the moment the next one starts, instead of watching your screen for as long as the app stayed open.
  • FixedLocking your PC or letting the screen sleep after a game no longer makes the companion report a tracking fault that was never real.

v0.24.2

patch

Coaching can't be knocked out mid-game anymore

  • FixedA rare glitch in the game client's data feed could silently stop all coaching for the rest of the game. The companion now shrugs it off and keeps coaching.

v0.24.1

patch

Watermark you can actually see

  • FixedThe scoutr.gg mark on highlight clips was hiding on top of the minimap. It now sits in the top-left corner with a shadow, readable on any background.

v0.24.0

minor

Highlights, now with sound

Your highlight clips now carry the game's audio, so the moment sounds the way it felt.

  • NewHighlight clips include the sound you hear in-game: game audio, music, and voice chat you're listening to. Your microphone is never recorded.
  • ImprovedIf audio can't be captured cleanly for a clip (for example a tab-out right in the middle of it), the clip stays silent rather than shipping with out-of-sync sound.

v0.23.1

patch

Highlights actually trigger now

  • FixedHighlight clips could fail to trigger on kills in some game modes even though recording was running. Kills are matched reliably now.

v0.23.0

minor

Your best moment, clipped

The companion now records your best play each game as a 10-second video clip. Watch it on your dashboard and download it to share.

  • NewGame highlights: pentakills, multikills, objective steals, and solo kills are automatically clipped in a 10-second video with your best moment of the game. Basic keeps your top clip, Pro keeps your top three.
  • NewWatch and download your highlight from the game review page on your scoutr.gg dashboard, ready to share on Discord or anywhere else.
  • NewA "Record highlights" switch in Settings controls it. Recording captures only the monitor the game is on, only while you're in the game, and pauses when you tab out.

v0.22.0

minor

Your coach, your rules

A real settings page: pick your push-to-talk key, choose how often the coach speaks up, and tune the voice, right from the app.

  • NewSettings page in the companion (the gear in the title bar, even mid-game): change your push-to-talk key, voice volume, language, and more. No restart needed for most of it.
  • NewCoach cadence: choose quiet, normal, or chatty. Quiet keeps the coach to the essentials and leaves more room for your own questions; chatty checks in more often. Also editable from your dashboard on scoutr.gg.
  • ImprovedThe coach paces itself now, with noticeably fewer interruptions during a game and a small "pacing" hint when it's holding back. Tap-to-ask still answers whenever there's room.
  • NewTest volume button: hear a sample line at your chosen volume before locking it in.

v0.21.2

patch

Clear messages when something is in the way

  • FixedStarting the companion while another copy is already running now shows a clear "already running" message (and brings the open window to the front) instead of failing silently.
  • ImprovedRune and build import errors now show only the friendly explanation, without technical prefixes.

v0.21.1

patch

Build import tells you what went wrong

  • FixedIf the LoL client refuses the build import because your item-set collection is too full, the companion now says so and tells you to clear some old item sets, instead of failing with a cryptic error.

v0.21.0

minor

Tap for a play call

The push-to-talk key learned a second gesture.

  • NewTap the push-to-talk key (Delete by default) for an instant play call: the coach picks the best move for this exact moment and says it out loud. Holding the key still asks a voice question, exactly as before.
  • NewEuropean keyboards can now bind the <> key next to left Shift (LOL_COMPANION_PTT_KEY=iso102), the most comfortable spot for your left hand. It's unbound in League, so no conflicts.
  • ImprovedAn explicit tap always gets a spoken answer, even when the coach recently said the same thing. Re-confirming the plan is the point.

v0.20.0

minor

Ask the coach more, and take your time

The push-to-talk voice coach got a lot more room to breathe.

  • ImprovedYou can now ask the coach up to 5 voice questions per game (up from 2), with a bigger monthly allowance on every plan.
  • ImprovedVoice questions can be up to 10 seconds long (up from 5), enough to actually describe the situation you're asking about.

v0.19.3

patch

Player scouting shows up right away

  • FixedPlayer rank and scouting data no longer waits for the coach's opening analysis. The matchup radar and LP charts now fill in seconds after the game starts.

v0.19.2

patch

No more ghost champ select

  • FixedGenerating a matchup brief right as the game loaded could leave the companion stuck on the champ-select screen for the rest of the session, hiding the live matchup panels. The game view now always takes over.

v0.19.1

patch

Mixed comps, named honestly

  • FixedA fully-picked team with no clear identity now reads “No single identity (mixed comp)” instead of looking like the radar was still waiting on picks.

v0.19.0

minor

Know both teams before the game starts

Champ select now shows a live radar of what each team is built to do, updated with every pick.

  • NewA team-identity radar in champ select compares both comps across engage, picks, poke, split push and peel, growing as picks lock in.
  • NewOnce a comp's shape is clear, you get its identity (teamfight, poke and siege, split push, and more) plus a one-line game plan for playing your comp and beating theirs.

v0.18.1

patch

Builds that stick around

  • FixedYour build no longer disappears between locking in and the coach's first read: it stays on screen through the loading screen and into the game.
  • FixedThe most popular build showed its first three items twice. Every build now lists each item once, in buy order.

v0.18.0

minor

Pick ideas before you lock in

The companion now helps with the pick itself: while you decide, it suggests champions for your role with the reasons spelled out.

  • NewChamp select now shows pick ideas for your role before you lock in: champions that counter the enemy picks (with real win rates and sample sizes), balance your team's damage, or fill a gap in your comp. Suggestions, not orders. Zero coaching credits used.
  • NewSuggestions react as the draft unfolds: they update when picks and bans land, skip champions you don't own, and step aside the moment you lock your champion.

v0.17.0

minor

Builds the moment you lock in

  • NewYour recommended build now appears the instant you lock your champion in champ select. No waiting, and it doesn't use any of your coaching credits.
  • NewRune and item-set import now work right from champ select, even before you generate a matchup brief.
  • NewMany champions now show a second, off-meta build option: a genuinely different direction (think lethality Garen), clearly labeled with how many games it's based on.
  • ImprovedBuild recommendations now cover the whole champion roster and refresh every patch, with better matchup coverage per champion.

v0.16.7

patch

Clearer setup guide

  • NewThe setup guide now tells you to set League's Window Mode to Borderless, since the in-game overlay can't appear over exclusive Fullscreen.
  • ImprovedThe Windows SmartScreen heads-up (“More info” → “Run anyway”) is now a highlighted note on the install step instead of buried in the text.
  • ImprovedThe guide's step cards now match the app's HUD look.

v0.16.6

patch

Champion names and icons fixed after the latest LoL patch

  • FixedScout pages showed placeholders like “Champion 86” instead of Garen (and 59 other champions) after the latest LoL patch added duplicate game-mode champion data. Names and icons resolve correctly again, on the site and in the app.
  • FixedThe minimap tracker now always uses the correct champion portraits for those champions, keeping in-game tracking accurate.

v0.16.5

patch

Coaching no longer vanishes when build data is unavailable

  • FixedYour matchup analysis and team-comp advice now always arrive at game start, even when our build-data source is down. Before, an outage there silently took all coaching with it.
  • FixedThe builds panel says "Build data unavailable right now" instead of showing an empty box, and your own runes stay visible.

v0.16.4

patch

Closed a gap that let other websites read your game data

  • FixedHardened the companion so a webpage open in your browser can no longer connect to it and read your live game: enemy positions, alerts, and your voice questions to the coach. Only the companion itself can talk to it now.

v0.16.3

patch

Top and bot turrets are no longer swapped

  • FixedThe coach had top-lane and bot-lane structures swapped: turret and inhibitor status (voice answers, coaching context, game log) named the wrong lane. Ask what's down now and it points at the right side of the map.

v0.16.2

patch

Push-to-talk moves to the Delete key

  • FixedThe voice-question key is now Delete (Supr): F9 turned out to trigger the game's screen lock while you held it. Prefer another key? Set LOL_COMPANION_PTT_KEY to f9, mouse4, mouse5 or capslock.
  • ImprovedVoice answers now know the whole map: every player's position and missing-status, turrets and inhibitors down, active buffs and recent kills all reach the coach with your question.

v0.16.1

patch

Voice answers now speak up when something goes wrong

  • ImprovedIf a voice question can't be answered (limit reached, coach offline, mic busy), the coach now says so out loud instead of only showing it on the overlay.

v0.16.0

minor

Ask your coach anything, out loud, mid-game

Push-to-talk is here: hold a key, ask a question, and the coach answers with full awareness of your game, spoken back and on screen.

  • NewHold F9 in-game to ask the coach a question out loud (up to 5 seconds). The answer streams onto the overlay and is spoken back, grounded in the live game state, not generic advice.
  • NewPrefer a different key? Set LOL_COMPANION_PTT_KEY to mouse4, mouse5 or capslock. Heads-up: the key press still reaches the game, so pick one you don't use in LoL.
  • NewVoice questions show up in your game history timeline alongside the coaching you received.
  • ImprovedVoice questions are capped at 2 per game during the alpha.

v0.15.3

patch

Minimap tracking recovers on its own, and a startup crash is gone

  • FixedMinimap tracking no longer stops for the rest of the game after a brief hiccup. Locking your screen, alt-tabbing or changing your display used to kill it silently. It now waits the problem out and picks itself back up.
  • FixedFixed a crash that could stop the app from starting at all for some players.

v0.15.2

patch

The coach knows you lose Baron and Elder buffs when you die

  • FixedNo more being told to use a Baron or Elder buff you lost by dying. The coach now tracks whether you personally still hold it.

v0.15.1

patch

Games you prep in champ select now count everywhere

  • FixedGames where you generated a champ-select brief now show up in your dashboard history like every other game.
  • FixedIf the pre-game analysis fails, the coach recovers faster instead of leaving you without a matchup brief.

v0.15.0

minor

The minimap lights up when a gank is coming

Gank alerts are now spatial: instead of only reading a warning, your eyes get pulled to the exact place you should be looking.

  • NewWhen the enemy jungler threatens your lane, a pulsating red ring appears around your minimap. It shows without holding Tab and fades as the threat passes.
  • ImprovedThe ring uses your calibrated minimap position, so it lands exactly on your minimap at any resolution or scale.

v0.14.3

patch

Minimap box reaches the bottom of the screen

  • FixedThe overlay stopped just above the Windows taskbar, so the minimap calibration box could never cover the lowest strip of the screen. The overlay now spans the full display and the box reaches every edge.

v0.14.2

patch

Herald is Herald, not Baron

  • FixedThe coach knew Rift Herald's spawn time from an older season, so around 14 minutes it could tell you to set up for Baron while Herald was the objective actually spawning. Timers now match the current patch.

v0.14.1

patch

Back-to-back games, fresh coaching

  • FixedPlaying a second game without restarting the app now starts a completely fresh coaching session: your side of the map and role are re-detected, so coaching is never inverted after switching teams.
  • ImprovedAfter a game ends, the app jumps to the next game's champ select on its own. No more clicking back to the hub between games.

v0.14.0

minor

Faster cloud, cleaner demo

We rebuilt the cloud plumbing behind the app. This update is required so your live dashboard keeps working.

  • ImprovedYour live-game dashboard card now talks straight to the coaching service, with fewer moving parts between your game and your browser.
  • ImprovedScout lookups, in the app's hub and on scoutr.gg, now run on a dedicated lookup service.
  • NewThe demo game on scoutr.gg loads instantly, and every player name in it is now anonymized.

v0.13.1

patch

Security tune-up

  • FixedUpdated the app's underlying components to their latest secure versions, closing every known vulnerability from this month's security audit. No gameplay changes.

v0.13.0

minor

Never lose the enemy jungler again

The overlay now does your jungle bookkeeping for you: a small always-on tracker keeps the enemy jungler's whereabouts in the corner of your eye while you farm.

  • NewEnemy jungler tracker on the overlay: see where they were last spotted, how long they've been missing, and when they respawn after dying. It stays quietly on screen during the game, no Tab hold needed, and turns amber then red the longer they're unseen.
  • ImprovedThe tracker only appears once the jungler has actually been seen, so it never sits on your screen with nothing useful to say. Drag it anywhere in arrange mode (Ctrl+Shift+H) like any other panel.

v0.12.0

minor

Alpha, out loud

We're building Scoutr in the open, and now the app and the site say so clearly, with a straight line into the community.

  • NewThe app's home screen now reminds you that you're an early tester: things will break, tell us and we'll fix them. It has a one-click way into our Discord and the report-a-problem form right there.
  • NewJoin-the-Discord links were added to the welcome screen and the Help panel. Questions and feedback now have somewhere to go.
  • Newscoutr.gg shows a slim free-alpha banner on every page, with the Discord invite and a link to what's new.

v0.11.4

patch

Report form, fixed

  • FixedThe "Report a problem" form no longer renders off the top of the window. It now drops down where you can see and use it.

v0.11.3

patch

Minimap setup, made simple

  • ImprovedSetting up the minimap tracker is much easier. In a game, press Ctrl+Shift+H to arrange your HUD. A tracker box now appears over the minimap, already close to the right spot. Nudge it to fit and press Ctrl+Shift+H again to save. No more hunting for a separate confirm button.
  • FixedThe edit-mode shortcut moved from Ctrl+Shift+O to Ctrl+Shift+H so it no longer clashes with the League practice tool.
  • FixedSingle-monitor players can now finish minimap calibration. It no longer needs a hidden window behind the game.

v0.11.2

patch

The window drags again

  • FixedYou can move the companion window by dragging its title bar again. It was stuck where it opened.

v0.11.1

patch

Everyone signs in with Google

  • FixedEveryone is now prompted to sign in with Google on launch. Some testers with an older access token were skipping the sign-in screen entirely.

v0.11.0

minor

Coaching for every role

The coach now speaks jungle, support, ADC, and mid, not just top lane. And no matter where you play, you'll know the moment the enemy jungler shows up on the map.

  • NewEnemy jungler sightings: whenever the enemy jungler appears anywhere on the minimap, the Gank Threats panel and the in-game overlay call it out with where they were seen.
  • NewRole-aware coaching tips: over 20 new directives built for junglers (pathing, counter-ganks, camp tracking), supports (vision, roam windows), ADCs (positioning, wave discipline), and mids (tempo, roams). You'll never be told to proxy farm as a support again.
  • FixedGank warnings now actually fire for mid, bot, and support players. They were silently top-lane-only before.

v0.10.0

minor

The app knows your plan

Groundwork for plans and credits. Nothing changes for alpha testers today, but the app now understands usage limits and will always tell you where you stand.

  • NewIf your plan ever runs out of coaching credits, the app says so clearly with an upgrade link. Vision tracking, gank warnings, and voice keep working either way.
  • NewOn limited plans the pre-game hub shows how many coached games you have left this month and when they reset.
  • ImprovedA brief service hiccup and an account issue now show different messages, so you know whether to wait or sign in again.

v0.9.1

patch

Know what you're running

  • NewThe app version now shows in the title bar, next to the ALPHA badge, so you can tell at a glance whether you're up to date.

v0.9.0

minor

One live view, and it's yours

The public share-a-link feature is gone; your private dashboard is now the one place to watch your games live.

  • ImprovedWatching your live game now happens on your signed-in dashboard only. No more public links to your matches.
  • ImprovedThe Share toggle is gone from the title bar; live publishing to your dashboard is automatic while you're signed in.
  • Improved“Watch a live game” on the site now always shows a recorded demo game, clearly labeled as a demo.

v0.8.2

patch

Your games, your dashboard

  • NewPersonal dashboard on the site: sign in and see every coached game, with your rank profile and usage at a glance.
  • NewOpen any past game to replay the coach's calls minute by minute, next to a gold-lead chart.
  • NewA live card appears on your dashboard while you're in game, so you can check your coaching from any browser.

v0.8.1

patch

Every coached game, saved

  • NewYour coached games are now saved to your account after each match. That's the fuel for the dashboard.

v0.8.0

minor

Cleaner, faster, más español

A deep cleanup release: the app got leaner under the hood, and Spanish players get wording that matches their LoL client.

  • FixedSpanish stats now speak proper LoL: the same terms as the official client (asesinatos, not kills).
  • FixedCoach tips show the same number of hints whether you play in English or Spanish.
  • ImprovedA big round of internal spring cleaning for snappier, more reliable updates ahead.

v0.7.0

minor

The big polish pass

We audited the whole app and fixed the papercuts: smoother flows around your game, clearer messages when something's off.

  • NewWhen your game ends, a banner offers you a one-click trip back to the scouting hub.
  • NewChamp select now warns you if the LoL client isn't detected instead of silently showing nothing.
  • ImprovedPanels update with less flicker and the app moves less data around.
  • ImprovedMore urgent messages are properly translated in Spanish.
  • FixedThe overlay's first-run hint waits for your first real game instead of wasting itself at launch.

v0.6.1

patch

Share toggle, instant and honest

  • FixedThe Share toggle responds the moment you click it and no longer creates ghost share links between games.
  • FixedReliability fixes for watching shared games.

v0.6.0

minor

Accounts are here

The milestone release: the account experience that landed in 0.5.11 graduates to the official way into Scoutr.gg.

  • ImprovedSign-in, activation, and sharing are now one account story, promoted from experiment to front door.

v0.5.11

patch

Sign in with Google

  • NewSign in with Google: click the button, approve in your browser, done. No more token juggling every install.
  • NewActivate your invite once with your token (tokens were retired in 0.37.3). Your account remembers it from then on.
  • ImprovedGame sharing now rides your account, no separate setup.

v0.5.10

patch

Let your friends watch

  • NewShare your live game: flip the Share toggle in the title bar and send friends a link to watch your coaching in real time.

v0.5.9

patch

Pricing page + sharper edges

  • NewThe site got a pricing page (with the since-retired invite signup).
  • ImprovedThe HUD's cut-corner panels now draw their borders along the cut, crisper everywhere.

v0.5.8

patch

Updates that actually update

  • FixedAfter installing a new version, the app shows the new version. No more stale screens.

v0.5.7

patch

Glow up, literally

  • FixedThe matchup panel's cyan glow is now bright enough to actually see.

v0.5.6

patch

The coach did its homework

  • NewThe coach now studies high-level guide knowledge for your specific matchup: advice tuned to your lane opponent, not generic tips.
  • NewA glow on the Matchup panel tells you when the advice is grounded in that matchup knowledge.

v0.5.5

patch

Welcome aboard, alpha

  • NewAn ALPHA badge in the title bar, a [?] help button, and a first-run walkthrough so new players know where everything is.

v0.5.4

patch

Timing the coach

  • ImprovedWe now measure exactly how long every coach tip takes to reach you, groundwork for making it faster.

v0.5.3

patch

A fresh coat of paint

  • ImprovedThe website landing page got a redesign that's honest about how Scoutr.gg works.
  • FixedThe app icon now shows up properly in Windows.

v0.5.2

patch

Gank pings on target

  • FixedGank alerts now point at the right spot for your minimap size and position.
  • FixedThe installed app launches reliably again.

v0.5.1

minor

The minimap finds itself

Setup just got dramatically easier: the app now locates your minimap on its own.

  • NewAutomatic minimap detection: the app proposes the capture box, you drag to confirm, done. No more manual pixel-hunting.

v0.4.1

patch

Links behave

  • FixedLinks open in your browser instead of a mysterious empty window.

v0.4.0

minor

Kayn can't hide

Sharper eyes on the minimap and a steadier connection to your game.

  • NewTransforming champions (looking at you, Kayn) are now tracked through their form changes.
  • FixedEnemy champions on the minimap are detected reliably again.
  • ImprovedSteadier real-time connection between the game and the app.

minor

  • NewOne-click "Report a problem" that packages your logs and sends them to us.
  • NewHealth dots in the footer show every part of the app is alive.
  • ImprovedWhen the coach is offline, the app now tells you why, and Spanish coverage spans the whole interface.
  • FixedAbility preview videos play for every champion.
